09th July:- Confederation
of Indian Industry (CII) in association with the Max Institute of Healthcare
Management organised a one-day awareness programme on ‘Lean Transformation of
Healthcare Organizations’ at Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali Campus.
The awareness programme was organised
with an objective to improve services in healthcare delivery industry. The
awareness programme was designed to demonstrate the potential of adopting lean
principles in enhancing efficiency of healthcare organizations to create value
for patients by reducing ‘waste and waits’.
Professor
Sarang Deo, Executive Director, Max Institute of
Healthcare Management and Associate Professor, Operations Management, Indian
School of Business who facilitated the awareness programme started the
programme with a group activity ‘Experiencing Lean Operations’ after which the
teams debriefed to understand the building blocks of lean operations. The
programme concluded with a Harvard Business School case study discussion
focused on understanding and adapting lean operations for healthcare
organizations.
A diverse group of 30 professionals
from healthcare service, medical device, technology solutions from the tricity
region attended the programme.
