Dec:- In an endeavor to
inculcate the values of social service among the students, N.S.S. Unit of
I.S. Dev Samaj, Sr. Sec. School, Sector-21, Chandigarh organized a seven
days N.S.S Special Camp.
Around 100 volunteers
including 50 boys and girls equally participated in the camp with full
enthusiasm and made the camp successful. The theme of the camp was “Jal Shakti and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”.
On the valedictory
session, Chief Guest, Bikram Rana, State Liaison Office NSS UT Chandigarh was
accompanied by Principal of the School Loveleen Bedi. The volunteers presented
a cultural programme comprising of different songs, plays and dance
performances emphasizing on India's cultural diversities and Jal Shakti, which
left the audience enchanted.
Speaking on the occasion,
Bikram Rana inspired and motivated the volunteers for taking initiative in the
process of Social Change and National Development. He also encouraged them to
undertake social service for the community.
While addressing the
gathering, Principal Loveleen Bedi praised the effort put forth by the
volunteers and enlightened the gathering with her inspiring speech.
A plethora of activities
and sessions were held by the experts during the camp like Stress Management,
Skill Development, Self Defense Programme, Meditation & Cleanliness Drive,
Stemcell Awareness Programme and Organ Donation programme.
Chief Coordinator,
Sabeeha Dhillon appreciated volunteer’s efforts for their initiatives and
dedication.
