Chandigarh, Dec.21,
2021:- It's the time of year when the air is filled with Christmas
music. And that's what the Chandigarh Baptist Children’s Choir did Saturday and
Sunday as they took the stage at the First Baptist Church in Sector 44C,
Chandigarh for their annual Christmas Program “The Christmas Nativity–
Theatrical Musical Play”.
There
were 2 shows on Saturday and 2 Shows on Sunday. Each show included Traditional
English Christmas Carols with a twist of Hindi Sar-gams and Hindi Christmas
Carols. Both the English and the Hindi Choirs performed with perfect synchronization
and mesmerized the audience with the musical performance. In addition to the
Christmas Carols, Christmas Theatre was also performed by the students of the
Chandigarh Baptist School. The play focused on the festival of Passover, a
Jewish festival and how Jesus Christ was born on the earth as a Passover lamb
and sacrificed himself to save the humanity from the clutches of sin and gave
everlasting life.
The
one hour show received tremendous response from the parents of the students of
Chandigarh Baptist School and also members of the Christian Community from
around the trinity. The grand finale filled the venue with the Christmas Cheer
and the audience also joined the Choir in singing and wishing a Merry
Christmas.
The
venue, First Baptist Church, also featured the largest Christmas Tree in the
city this year.
