Paragon School’s Annual Day: Students Perform on Theme of Indian Festivals & Folk Dances

Mohali 16th November:- A rainbow of colors unfurled on the stage as students of Paragon Senior Secondary School and Paragon Kids Sector 71 Mohali celebrated their 36th Annual day function, ‘Navrang’ amidst great ambience, zest, vibrancy and enthusiasm. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Rajbir Singh, former executive director, and presently advisor, CBSE, New Delhi.
The program commenced on a devotional note in which the school choir recited the Shabad so as to mark the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Enthralling performances by the tiny tots of ‘Paragon Kids’, on foot tapping English songs followed. The students of primary and middle wing mesmerized the audience with their performances on various themes including festivals of India and folk dance forms of the country. An English play ‘Kingdom of fools’ was also presented. Dance acts on ill effects of smart phones were very pertinent to the current times. In a patriotic performance, the students gave a befitting tribute to the Indian army’s valour exhibited in the famous surgical strike post the Uri terror attack. The centre of attraction of the show was a musical fiesta presented by the students of class III and IV on the ‘Significance of Number 5’.
The show was concluded with an energetic Bhangra and Giddha performance by the students of the senior wing.
The chief Guest, Rajbir Singh lauded the efforts of the school students and staff for putting up a marvelous show.
Iqbal Singh Shergill, director proposed vote of thanks and said that the annual show is an event which provides a platform to showcase the talent of the children.
